BioCoRE Chat Help

The BioCoRE Chat plugin in VMD acts like the BioCoRE Control Panel. You can view and send messages to others in your BioCoRE projects. You can also see what VMD states have recently been saved, and view them in VMD.

Starting BioCoRE Chat

From VMD's Main window, from the "Extensions" menu, select "BioCoRE->Chat". If you are logged in, the BioCoRE chat window will appear. If you are not logged in, you will be prompted to do so. Once the window is open, you can switch which project you are viewing from the "Project" menu at the top of the window. The User list on the right side shows which users are logged in.

Sending a Message

Type a message in the entry box after the "Message:" label. Click "Submit" or press "Enter", and your message will be sent.

Loading a State

VMD states are shown in the BioCoRE chat window preceded with "(VMD State)". Clicking on one of these links will load the state in BioCoRE. See also VMD Load/Save State Help
